Have you dreamed of getting married or eloping in Rocky Mountain National Park? I often get inquiries of couples wanting to elope in Colorado but just don’t know where to start. Location wise, there are so many places to elope or get married in Colorado. All of them being incredibly epic with some of the most amazing mountain landscapes in the USA. I usually recommend Rocky Mountain National Park as one of those locations. Here’s how to elope in Rocky Mountain National Park with some helpful tips along the way. If you’re looking for a Rocky Mountain National Park Wedding or Elopement Photographer, get in touch today and let’s start planning your dream day!
The park allows booking a wedding or elopement ceremony space up to 1 year advance and 7 days prior. Only 6 weddings/elopements are allowed per day in the park. The wedding permit is $250. To get married in the park you will need to keep it simple, with no decorations, music, etc. Just you, your significant other, and loved ones. To reserve your day and more detailed info on getting married at the park, visit their website >HERE<.
The park has 12 designated areas for ceremonies with max number of people ranging from 15 – 60. Those 12 locations are:

You can still make it an adventurous day by hiking afterwards to Dream Lake, Trail Ridge Road, etc. Or say you want to have sunrise hiking portraits before the ceremony, that works too. As long as the ceremony is at one of the 12 locations above.
The closest town to Rocky Mountain National Park will be Estes Park. However, I highly recommend renting an Airbnb, to make the experience even more epic and intimate. Or you can even camp depending on the time of year. If you prefer a hotel, here are some cute hotel recommendations in Estes Park:
You did it! You’re married! You spent the day exploring the breathtaking views in Rocky Mountain National Park with the love of your life. Now what? Continue the celebration with an intimate dinner! If you prefer to keep things more private, hire a private chef to come to your Airbnb or Hotel. Or check out some of these romantic restaurants in Estes Park:
