Sparkler exits have become one of the best ways to end your magical day! Below are some tips if you are dreaming about incorporating sparklers in your special day!
Make sure you have long sparklers. Whatever you do, don’t get the short ones. Not only do they burn faster, typically they are a different quality and usually used for Fourth of July. I recommend 36 inch sparklers, which last a few minutes. But no smaller than 20 inches.
Make sure your venue allows sparklers. Especially in places like California, where wildfires are extreme and common. Some venues have a strict no sparklers policy, so best to ask before you purchase them! If you are planning on eloping in a forest or place surrounded by brush and vegetation, I suggest going a different route for a grand exit. Such as fake candles or something in that regard that can be used as a light source.
Consider having the sparkler exit earlier in the night. More often times than not, I see couples purchase tons of sparklers and by the time the grand exit comes, many guests have already left. One option to avoid this, is plan it after all the major reception events have taken place and about an hour after the dance floor has opened up. Another option is if you have an outdoor reception to add at your first dance. Gah! I LOVE this idea so much and can’t wait for one of my couples to do this. Talk about freakin magical!
Take your time walking through. I know it gets so exciting and your immediate response is to run through! But trust me, you’re gonna wanna take it all in. Especially looking at all your loved ones cheering you on, sharing in those special last moments.
